I usually download videos from YouTube, Facebook, and the like. But using third parties like y2mate or Seal is honestly a bit annoying. Seal sometimes throws weird errors and won’t let me download. And y2mate has way too many ads
So I just use this directly. Self-hosting a bit too.
The process is still the same as before. Paste enter, yes yes yes

Storage capacity issue

Installing via the PVE script uses LVM by default. That eats up all the remaining space. It’s better to install manually so you understand the disk.

Alternative option – Tube Archivist

Maybe I’ll switch to this. For now I’m still using Seal on Android and y2mate on the web. Those are fine. Self-hosting a YouTube downloader isn’t that necessary yet.
